To ensure the highest possible security for investors and their financial assets, SEC has built a network within Europe, Mediterranean and the Gulf States, thus being able to take care of site selection, development, construction, or act as owner’s representative, whatever required.
Be it rooftop or ground installation, grid connected or stand-alone, single power plant or combined with other energy sources, we are striving for and planning the optimal solution. We consider each project to be very individual and treat it as such.
We are currently focused working on projects in Italy and Austria, but also preparing projects in Bulgaria, France, and Tunisia.
Another SEC benefit for the client is that we are completely independent of any manufacturer and construction company, thus committed to create the best solution according only to our clients or investors needs.
Project Development
Trough our network in various countries we are often presented and offered “off-shelf” projects or at least suitable plots available. We carefully consider and select such proposals, perform a legal and technical due diligence, and if required work out alterations and eventual improvements of the project.
In case of available plots offered, we will gladly take care of all administrative and legal licensing procedures.
In special cases we may take care of the necessary financing structure.
One of our core competences is design and execution of "BOT" - projects (build - operate - transfer). We host all the appropriate experts in our network as to be able to perform all preliminary screenings, starting with climate check up to the planning of the infrastructure.
The key issue with all BOT projects right now is the sales price of the produced energy. The following sample calculation shows the current limits. For a large plant in Qatar, running on a-Si/μc-Si technology, with a profit margin of 25%, a purchase price of EUR 156,- per MWh results. For systems to be built within 2-3 years, the price could be reduced to EUR 129,- per MWh.

Development of energy concepts for municipalities, regions and industries
The desire for more independence from fossil fuels and more sustainable economic activity can never be fulfilled by ad-hoc single measures but only through well-thought overall concepts. The most important cornerstones of a workable concept are:
A detailed survey of locally available resources,
Data collection of current and forecast of future energy needs,
The analysis of all potential energy savings,
Taking account of local development or operational plans.
By considering all of above points a comprehensive approach and strategy to future energy supply from renewable sources - such as solar, wind, biomass and geothermal – may be defined. In consequence such approach shall avoid potential investment pitfalls.
